Spray Gun Repairs & Servicing

expert Spray Gun repairs & Servicing

We Offer Free Diagnostics on repairs and servicing

At The Spray Gun Club, we know time is money — that’s why we offer fast, reliable repairs and servicing to avoid costly down time with a free diagnosis service.

We service all brands of airless spray equipment and offer both genuine and aftermarket parts – with a 6 month warranty!

Unlike traditional service centres — often stretching out four to six weeks, our repairs are fast and efficient.

It’s this speedy, affordable and reliable service that’s helping us reshape the airless spray industry in Australia.

Honest Repairs, unmatched Value

We’ve seen it time and time again — customers coming to us after being quoted inflated repair costs or told their best option is to buy a brand new spray gun. In many cases, we’ve been able to carry out full repairs for a fraction of the price — sometimes as little as one-fifth of the original quote.

At The Spray Gun Club, we’re here to fix your equipment, not upsell you unnecessarily. We’ll always give you an honest assessment and a fair price, so you can make the best decision for your business and your bottom line.

We’re also unique in that we offer high-quality aftermarket parts, all backed by a 6-month warranty. Not only does this help you save on repair costs — it also gives you peace of mind that the job’s been done right.

The Most Common Problems, Answered!

To clear a tip blockage, reverse the tip and spray to remove any obstructions.  If this happens regularly, it may indicate that your tip is too small or your filter is too large.  Prevent most tip blockages by ensuring your machine is clean and straining every new drum of paint.  Contrary to popular belief, new paint isn’t always free of debris.

Increase pressure until desired finish is achieved.  Tails can occur if the tip and/or filter is too small, restricting the flow to the gun and resulting in an undesireable finish.  Adding a splash of water or thinniner (Depending on the paint) can help improve flow and atomization.  Ensure all filters are clean and allow easy paint flow, as paint build-ups can suffocate the filter and restrict paint flow.
To reduce overspray, keep the spray gun parallel to the surface you’re spraying and maintain a distance of 12″ (30 cm) from the surface.  If you spray from too far away, the paint has more time for the atmosphere to affect its transfer to the surface.  In most scenarios, 2000 psi should be your maximum pressure, as every psi higher will contribute to more overspray.  If you’re not achieving the desired finish, consider changing your tip and/or filters.

Tip
It’s always a good idea to test your spray pattern on a piece of cardboard before starting your job.  This ensures optimal performance when spraying.
  • Treat your airless like a loaded Gun.  Always ensure the safety is engaged when handpiece is not in use.PPE Always wear appropriate Personal Protective equipment(PPE), including Goggles, Gloves, & Respirator.

  • Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation in the workspace

  • Read Instruction manuals: Familiarise yourself with the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure the products you are using are suitable for the machine. (Not all machines are safe for solvent, or suitable for high viscous products.)
